Axis Management Solutions, LLC, doing business as Axis Splinting Solutions (“Axis Splinting Solutions,” “we,” “our,” “us”), operates https://www.axissplintingsolutions.com (the “Site”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information of occupational therapy practitioners who register for our continuing education courses and of anyone who visits our Site.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information in accordance with applicable U.S. law and AOTA Approved Provider Program recordkeeping requirements.

Information We Collect

Information you provide when you register or contact us:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Profession (e.g., OT or OTA), professional license number, and state of licensure
  • Practice setting
  • Accommodation requests, if you choose to submit one
  • Promo code, if applicable
  • Any information you include when you email us

Payment information: Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Intuit (QuickBooks Payments). We may also use other third-party processors, such as Stripe or PayPal, in the future. Payment information you enter is collected and processed directly by the payment processor under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full credit card or bank account numbers.

Course participation records: Attendance, assessment results, completion status, and certificates issued.

Information collected automatically: When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, actions taken on the Site (such as submitting the registration form), and similar usage data through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

Accommodation Requests

If you request an accommodation, we use that information only to arrange the accommodation for your course. We share it only with those who need it to provide the accommodation, and we do not use it for marketing.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process course registrations and payments
  • Verify attendance, assess learning outcomes, and issue certificates of completion
  • Maintain continuing education records as required by AOTA
  • Communicate with you about your registration, course logistics, and future courses
  • Provide requested accommodations
  • Understand how the Site is used and improve our courses and Site
  • Advertise our courses and measure the effectiveness of our advertising
  • Comply with legal and accreditation requirements

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

How We Share Information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate our business, such as our website host, registration form provider, payment processors, email provider, and analytics and advertising platforms (including Google and Meta). They may use your information only to provide services to us or as described in the Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising section below.
  • Accrediting bodies, such as AOTA, when required for continuing education reporting or audits.
  • Legal authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights.
  • A successor business, in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of our business. You will be notified where required by law.

We release your course records to other third parties, such as employers or licensing boards, only at your written request.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

The Site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to make the Site work, understand how visitors use it, and advertise our courses.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time on site, and general location derived from IP address. Learn more at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Ads: We use Google Ads to advertise our courses and to measure whether our ads lead to registrations. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Site or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram): We use the Meta Pixel and other Meta Business Tools to advertise our courses on Facebook and Instagram, measure the results of those ads, and show ads to people who have visited our Site. Meta may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our Site and elsewhere on the Internet, and may use that information to provide measurement services and to target ads. Your choices:

Do Not Track: Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law.

HIPAA Notice

Axis Splinting Solutions does not provide medical care or therapy services. We provide continuing education to licensed professionals. We are not a covered entity under HIPAA, and we do not collect or handle protected health information (PHI). Course case scenarios are de-identified or fictional.

Data Security and Retention

We use SSL encryption and reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Continuing education records, including attendance, assessment results, and certificates, are retained for at least seven (7) years as required by AOTA. Other personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, then securely deleted.

Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing kimberly@axismanagementsolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some continuing education records must be retained to meet AOTA requirements and cannot be deleted during the retention period.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link or emailing us. We will still send messages about courses you have registered for.

Children’s Privacy

The Site and our courses are intended for licensed professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

Users Outside the United States

The Site is intended for users in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be noted on the Site.
